Safety
We at CABLE SKI CONSULTING consider your safety as our major concern.
CSC systems utilize a German invention, simple in concept and mechanically
sound in execution. Easy to operate and service, this system has been
tested and in operation throughout Europe for over two decades.
The cable system has incorporated numerous safety features as a result
of 25 years of experience. Skiers, swimmers and spectators are not endangered
because the cable skiing takes place in a controlled area; buoys or
a floating walkway separate activities.
Professionally trained operators and a long
"safety run" protect a fallen skier's safety; the minimum
distance between skiers is 100 meters. This provides the skier with
sufficient space to avoid other skiers.
An added safety feature is that the "run" is a minimum 50
meters wide on each side. All skiers must wear life jackets and helmets
depending on the activity being performed.
A causeway allows a fallen skier to swim or walk a short distance to
return to the start house usually within 3-4 minutes.
